Christopher Hollenbeck was born
in December 1959 in Syracuse, New York. He grew
up in and around the construction business:
His father was prominent building contractor
in central New York. One of seven children,
even as a young boy Christopher had a keen interest
in construction, often accompanying his father
to various jobsites and later spending summers
and weekends working as an apprentice in various
trades. After graduating from the prestigious
Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, Christopher
received a football scholarship and attended
one year at Canisus College in Buffalo. He ultimately
relocated to Southern California to be near
his large family who had moved to the West Coast
the previous year. While studying business at
Los Angeles Pierce College, Christopher worked
as a framer for M&T Construction. It was
a natural progression that Christopher obtained
his own general contractor’s license in
1983 and established CH Construction.
Over the years, Christopher has
developed a network of highly qualified sub-contractors,
craftsman, vendors, and other professionals.
Many of his employees have been with the company
for nearly twenty years. Christopher enjoys
excellent working relationships with numerous
architects, designers, building department personnel,
and city inspectors throughout the greater Los
Angeles area. His affable personality and in-depth
knowledge of construction allow Christopher
to effectively communicate with tradesman, professionals,
employees, and clients alike.
On a personal note, Christopher
is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys sports, fishing,
boating, scuba diving, golf, horseback riding,
and snow skiing.
